energy, and an optimistic person. When you walked into a room and Henderson was there the first thing you notice is his infectious smile. You wanted to hang with him and his teammate CC (Carlos Cunningham) because they were always positive; they were not about speaking ill of people. I am not surprised that Henderson decided on a career in the public service. Henderson was always about helping others, especially in tough times. As a freshman, Henderson played running back and I thought he would have a very successful college career at that position. I remember we use to run a sweep when I was at Wake and the back side guard would pull and block the strong safety. In years past, I had little problems leading the play, and then all of a sudden Wake has a young talented freshman with jets for legs who’s almost beating me to the hole! Coach John Machovic would yell at me and told me to run faster, he would say to me we now have running backs with some speed and I needed to get on my horse. I think I told Henderson that this was as fast as I could go so he might want to slow down a little unless he wanted to kick out the strong safety and I run with the ball. I think he got the point.
